A nationwide and Canada Online corporation, experiencing explosive growth is seeking a  DevOps Engineer to help our growing development team stay lean and deploy continuously. You will help manage our AWS server environment that underpins our global e-commerce platform and help develop the deployment pipeline empowering development teams to have a seamless framework to deliver the best software. You will also be responsible for implementing and managing a comprehensive monitoring, reporting, alerting and logging solution for the Saatva platform, its applications and services.

As an engineer at the company you will:

  • Improve security and performance of infrastructure
  • Automate, Automate, Automate
  • Think of what is the next big infrastructure thing
  • Migrate infrastructure to AWS from other cloud platforms
  • Own day to day AWS administration
  • Improve our CI/CD pipeline
  • Design and implement our container orchestration
  • Participate in scrum estimations, daily standups, and sprint retrospectives

What you need to bring to the table:

  • 5+ Years experience in a SRE/DevOps type role
  • Understand network security and implications
  • Experience building a CI/CD environment
  • Working knowledge of relational databases
  • Docker container orchestration experience (Mesos, Kubernetes, Rancher, etc)
  • Experience with monitoring/reporting tools (ex: PagerDuty, Pingdom, Nagios, etc)
  • Familiarity with platform logging solutions (ex: loggly, logstash, etc)
  • Knowledge of Web Servers (Apache/Nginx)
  • Familiarity with load balancing tools and techniques (HAProxy, etc)
  • Experience working with AWS
  • Comfortable with version control software and using Git workflows
  • Skilled in Python, nodejs, php or other programming languages
  • Flexibility to operate in an environment with changing demands and priorities
  • Good interpersonal and team building skills
  • An easy-going attitude and sense of humor
  • A positive, people-oriented and energetic attitude
